Take Up Your Cross - Part 2

Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
Luke 9:23

Some of you might remember a post I made in January about this verse. I was inspired during my devotional time to create this wall in my home. I promised pics so here you go! I LOVE it!! Some might think it's a little over the top --- who am I kidding! It is, but I like it. Oh -- and I can't take credit for painting the verse! I hired someone to do it and she did a wonderful job!!!

It looks like I'm at least one more week without a computer. I miss blogging, but hopefully this won't last much longer!!

Beautiful! Not one bit over the top and I think it's right on the money because I know I have to pick up about 15 crosses a day!!!

LOVE IT!!

Thanks for sharing the pic!

I have a wall of crosses myself...but no verse, mind if i copy the verse on the wall idea??
I also have a wall idea i got from Pottery barn, where they had open frames on a wall (nothing in them, not even the glass) and then in several they had put one letter to make up the family last name. Well, our last name is davenport...too long for a wall! So I framed a J E S U S each in differnet frames and put it on the wall of frames...it is pretty cute and i always get compliments (or comments, when unsaved people come over!)... :)

Nothing like living out "write it on your door frames and on your gates"!!!

Ginger,
I love your cross wall. I have one too in my office. Most of mine have come as gifts and they are so precious to me. Your wall is just gorgeous - what a great reminder to us all. Thanks for sharing. Do you know any painters in TX? ha

Okay...I am in love with this wall! This is just stunning......

In fact, I see a place in our family area that needs this.

Thanks for sharing!
